Hi Tim and Debbie! I've tried several times to post a comment with no success. Hopefully this time will be a go! What an adventure you are on! I was in Lolo Hot Springs with three of my brothers over 30 ago. One of my older brothers lived in the National Forest at an outpost station working with timber crews to ensure environmental laws and rules were followed. I took my youngest brothers out to visit him. They were 10 and 12 at the time. Beautiful area! Think of you often and always look forward to your posts. Take care! Love, Mary
Hi, I have enjoyed reading and seeing the photos/movies of your trip. It almost makes me want to take a bike trip, too. There is so much to see in our beautiful, large country. Most probably the way i will see the country is by car but there is nothing like biking!! Love to both of you Vivian
I just wrote a comment and it evidently didn't get posted. Will try again. Msry took me to Woodstock this morning to leave my sewing machine for repairs. She and David had supper witrh me, I finally felt good enough to make a meal for company! It felt good to do something for someone else for a change. It was fun to see David get up and wash the dishes, he even cleaned the bottom of my copper-bottomed pots! Said it took him back to when he did that for his mother. Guess you must hve had a good report from the clinic ths morning,Debbie, that is great, now don't overdo it. Way past my bedtime, so good night, Love, Mom
PS. Just wamt to add that the picture of the rainbow was my favorite. But, all of them are good, beautiful country we live in, isn't it? Sending more love, Mom
Hi Tim and Debbie, I'm a friend of Steve's and he alerted us to your blog. (My husband Bill has been his tennis partner) I'm just loving your photos and the blog - I've always wanted to do a trip like yours. Enjoy! Chris Kamenoff
You guys have finally made it into God's country!! So thrilled to hear that you like the northern plains. You can now experience 360 deg. sunsets and horizons, something that's still very much alive in my heart. You're correct in saying that there is a hospitality out there like few other places. My brothers and I used to ride our bikes in SDak to my grandparents' home about 35 miles from our home, and we thought we were really travelling ;-) My best friend, Jon, lives in the Minneapolis area. If you get a chance, give him a call, he and his wife Mary would LOVE to meet you: 952-891-2824 (hm)in Burnsville; 612-414-9615 (cell). Your blog is wonderful, and the photos, too. Love the way you tell the story!! Have a wonderful day today. R Burns
Hi Tim & Debbie, Randy Hunt tipped me off to your blog.
Sounds like a fantastic trip. I have always wanted to ride accoss country. Since I am still working I guess that will have to wait until later.
I did start riding on August 5th from Midland Michigan and I am now in Sun Prairie Wisconsin. 300 miles of mostly headwinds in three days. Sounds like you are somewhere in the same vacinity. Have fun and be safe.
